Mr Fijnaut joined the service of Heineken Nederland B.V. in September 1995, and became a Brand Managerin 1998. In 2000.

Mr Fijnaut was appointed Export Director for Vrumona B.V., a position he held until October 2004, when he was transferred to Nigerian Breweries Plc as Head of Marketing. He was appointed Marketing Director in April 2005.
