1. What is NB's recruitment policy? We are interested in people who demonstrate a high level of potential, creativity and competence irrespective of gender, tribe, religion or physical disability.

For our Graduate Management Development Scheme, fresh inexperienced graduates who fit the following profile are encouraged to apply: -

  • At least five credits in SSCE or GCE 'O' Level subjects including Mathematics and English Language acquired in one sitting. 
  • A minimum of a university degree with second-class honours in the relevant discipline as may be advertised.
  • Not more than 27 years old at the time of employment. 
  • A satisfactory NYSC experience. 
  • An acceptable level of computer proficiency. 
  • Willingness to work in any of our brewery locations.

For other Trainee positions, the following requirements apply: - 

  • At least five credits in SSCE or GCE 'O' Level subjects including Mathematics and English Language
  • A minimum of a university degree with second-class honours in the relevant discipline as may be advertised. 
  • 2 - 3 years post NYSC relevant experience. 
  • Not more than 30 years old at the time of employment. 
  • An acceptable level of computer proficiency. 
  • Willingness to work in any of our brewery locations.

For Mid-Career hires, the following requirements must be met: - 

  • At least 5 credits in SSCE or GCE 'O' Level subjects including Mathematics and English Language acquired in one sitting. 
  • Relevant post-graduate and/or professional qualification(s) s may be advertised 
  • 5 - 8 years post NYSC and relevant experience. 
  • Track record of outstanding performance. 
  • Not more than 40 years old at the time of employment. 
  • An acceptable level of computer proficiency. 
  • Willingness to work in any of our brewery locations.

2. How do I apply? Vacancies in our company are usually advertised in the newspapers and ALL applications must be made on-line by completing the application form provided for that purpose at www.nbplc.com/careers.asp. Correspondence is usually by email.

3. What about remuneration and other rewards/benefits? Remuneration in NB is very innovative and competitive compared to levels within and outside the industry. Regular reviews are carried out to maintain this position.

5. How much training do I get? At NB, we believe that our people are our greatest asset and as such the importance of training cannot be over-emphasised. We train and develop for continuous skills acquisition and improvement of performance in the ever-dynamic world of business.

6. Do I get to travel? NB is one of the companies partly owned by Heineken International. Typically, you could be called upon at any time to work or train in any part of Nigeria or in any Heineken International location.

8. What sort of equipment, machines and processes will I work with? What type of environment will I work in? NB provides a challenging work environment with modern, highly automated, and state-of-the art bottling lines and other electro-mechanical production utilities. HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) standards are maintained in our breweries, to ensure product safety, hygienic conditions and protection from work hazards.

Advanced Information and Communication Technology (including e-learning and remote learning facilities) also exist.
