Heineken Kicks Off the 2022/23 Champions League Knockouts with a Bang

Following the group stage matches of the UEFA Champions League last year in November, the tournament has advanced to the knockout stages (round of 16) today, with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) tackling FC Bayern Munich, and AC Milan aiming for glory in a battle against Tottenham.

In the usual tradition of supporting the UEFA Champions League through activities like the UCL Trophy Tour that hosted legendary footballer and three-time UEFA champion winner Clarence Seedorf in 2022, Nigeria Breweries’ top-selling premium beer brand, Heineken, once again, brings exceptional experiences to fans of the UEFA Champions League.

Guided by the campaign theme ‘Cheers to All Fans’, Heineken rolls out a series of activities to deliver immersive viewing experiences, the best of refreshment and entertainment, and a window of opportunity for fans to connect on a personal level with one another.

“It is a culture that has stood the test of time, and we are proud of being part of it”, Portfolio Manager – Premium & Sessionable Portfolio, Sampson Oloche said about the long-standing partnership between Heineken and the UEFA Champions League.

He continued: “As the tournament further advances, the tension heightens, and fans of the sport become unapologetic about their loyalty to their clubs, Heineken wants to be part of that process to help them experience the games in a way that leaves an impact on them,” Oloche concluded.

A first of many of the UEFA knockout matches to come, the Heineken brand commits to delivering unique experiences to the fans from February 14, 2023, to March 13, 2023, to when the knockout stages transition to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.
