HEINEKEN AFRICA FOUNDATION AND NIGERIAN BREWERIES DONATE OBSTERICS AND GYNECOLOGY ULTRA SCAN EQUIPMENT TO SURULERE GENERAL HOSPITAL

Heineken Africa Foundation (HAF) in collaboration with Nigerian Breweries recently handed over Obstetrics and Gynecology Ultra-Scan equipment to the Maternal and Child Care Centre of the Surulere General Hospital, Gbaja.

While handing over the equipment, the Corporate Affairs Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, said that the donation is in furtherance of the goal of the Heineken Africa Foundation of supporting communities in Africa with challenges in the provision of health services. Mrs Morgan also stressed that as an OpCo of Heineken committed to Winning with Nigeria; the donation drives home the company’s commitment to support other sectors of the Nigerian society to win as it wins.

Dr. Samson Oguntobi, Head of Radiology of the Hospital who received the equipment on behalf of the Hospital expressed his profound gratitude to Heineken Africa Foundation and Nigerian Breweries Plc, commending the gesture as phenomenal in meeting the needs of its patients.

Since its inception in 2007, the Heineken Africa Foundation in collaboration with operating companies in Africa has committed over €7.2 million to support over 83 projects focused on health and water across the African continent. In Nigerian the collaboration between the foundation and Nigerian Breweries has impacted Vesicovaginal fistula, autism, accident and emergency care, maternal and child care, provision of water among others across the country.
